wow, she has my haircut.
anyway, i love both AF and Epica. i have listened to AF for a couple of years now and i like all of their albums, all time favourite songs is Monolith of Doubt.
Epica is quite a new discovery, their latest album is very nice, great songs and everything. however i do also find Consign to Oblivion worth listening to, it has some very nice songs in there as well.

Soon will be released HDK album "System overload".It's AF members side project. Musicians which took part in this project: Amanda Somerville: Vocals Andre Matos (ex-ANGRA, SHAAMAN, VIRGO): Vocals Arijn van Weesenbeek (GOD DETHRONED): Drums Joost van den Broek (SUN CAGED, AFTER FOREVER): Keyboards Jos Severens (SUSTAIN): Vocals Patrick Savelkoul (CALLENISH CIRCLE): Vocals Paul Niessen (I WITNESS): Vocals Peter Vink: Bass Sander Gommans: Guitar, Vocals
And what do you think about Amanda Sommerville? She will be Epica singer for some month because Simone has problem with health.

Really looking forward to Sander's HDK project; the samples on his MySpace sound promising. Amanda Sommerville is doing a great job as Simone's replacement. I really like the warmth in her voice and she seems like a nice person judging from her videolog.

There's some vids on Youtube of Epica performances with Amanda, and Amanda is indeed doing a rather fine job of replacing Simone.

After Forever are my favourite band. I never liked them much before the release of their latest album 'After Forever' but that album just blew me away! Every song on that album is impressive and Floor's vocals are better then ever, not to mention the grunting is most impressive too!
Epica i like but i'm not that overly keen on, i love their latest album 'The Divine Conspiracy' but their past albums don't really impress me that much
