Please don't blame my boredom for this totally random topic.
What exactly 'imperia'?
Is it an Italian town? A Russian vodka brand? A car?
Let's go all speculative and hypothesize about possible meaning of the name 'imperia'.

It is my belief that they actually plan to use Imperia to achieve world domination, and establish an empire with Helena as empress, hence the name. They probably thought of 'Empire' oder so first, but named it Imperia to have a kinky gothic sounding name.
Either that, or Helena picked a random word from the dictionary while in a naughty mood, haha. ;D

Where did you get the name Imperia ?Jan : Helena invented that. I heard that the first version was actually Imperium, but Imperia sounded more compact and also easier. I think that the music has this bombast and epic feel to it sometimes, which you have in the name too. When you hear the name you get right away a feeling of emperor, imperium and an association to the grand things like that. I think it fits very well in our style. I know that there is also a city in Italy called Imperia, but we didn't get it from that. > www.auxportesdumetal.com/interviews/imperia-uk.html

I still think it's world domination. haha. But I think the world would be a better place with Empress Helena, it certainly wouldn't get any worse, haha.

Imperial, is used as a description for rulers of the world, and out of world. The Imperial march is the name of the music that they use on Star Wars when DArth Vader is the center of attention. Ming the merciless in Flash Gordon was the Imperial Leader. It has an air of Royalty associated with the word also. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8ZTTsiJupo
