All of us have a bunch of bands that we love, but there are times when it's not the band but the song that matters. Sometimes we (or at least I) like a song(s) by bands who normally don't appeal to us. So I would like you to recommend a few songs to fellow forumers, songs that are so good they shouldn't be missed. The band, genre, length or whatever else doesn't matter as long as the song is worth attention. Also, try to limit yourself to maximum of, let's say, 10 songs per post, later on you can add more songs, if you discover something amazing.

Ayreon - 2084 Atmospheric mid-tempo proggy space rock with Lana Lane on vocals. It's about the end of the world, the last World War has just started and the last survivor is trying to head to Mars. Album: The Universal Migrator part 1 - The Dream Sequencer
Arkona - Slavsya Rus! Russian folk/pagan metal. A mid-tempo song praising the grandeur of Russia (even if you don't know Russian, this is obvious). Despite the rest of Arkona's music having a mix of raspy and clean vocals, this song is entirely clean. The song's really simple, but VERY catchy. Album: Ot Serdca K Nebu.
Madonna - Bedtime Story Madonna needs no introduction. This is one song of hers I find really hypnotic and the lyrics are still applicable today (does require some strange ways of thinking). It was written by Björk and it really has that Björk-weirdness to it, but it's still Madonna. Did that make sense? Anyway... This song would be great for meditation. Album: Bedtime Stories.
Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue - Where The Wild Roses Grow I remember totally loving this song when it was on music channels (remember when music channels played actual music?) all over the place. I recently found this song again on some compilation album and fell in love with it again. It's about a man (Nick) murdering a woman (Kylie) even though he admires her. He fears that her beauty might fade, so he kills her to preserve the goods and places her in the river where the roses grow. Very dramatic, but also very beautiful. Album: Murder Ballads.
Beth Hart - Crashing Down Despite many people saying 'Leave The Light On' is Beth's best song, I think this one is. The song is sung by a woman who is haunted by the devil but she won't give up her soul. You should just go and listen to it, it's really a superb soft-rock song with tender moments and great outbursts. Album: 37 Days.
