I think we've had this topic on another forum, but I think it's pretty relevant here too, so who is or are your favourite vocalist(s) in femme metal and, most importantly, why? If you could, please, limit yourself to three vocalists, if you cannot pick just one.

Floor Jansen (After Forever) I've been a fan of her voice for a really long time now and it never disappoints me. She can do anything, powerpop to opera and everything in between. She doesn't have too much drama going on in her interpretations, which is good. She's fantastic live, too.
Helena Michaelsen (Imperia, Angel) Obviously... Great vocal range. Dramatic. Schizo. Yodel. I really love it how she can do intimate songs with the same effect as the over-the-top ones. Very energetic live performance (at least it was when I saw her yodeling back in 2005).
Michele Madden (Tourettes) Michele's a class of her own. If you listen to any Tourettes track without knowing who's who in the band, you'd think it was just one of them male-fronted nu metal bands... Yup, a woman producing gutteral vocals that will make you all goosebumpy... on the inside. She's a great lyricist as well.

Care to elaborate on why these vocalists are your favourite? I don't exactly see the point of posting a list without explanations.

Floor Jansen - After Forever Her Vocal range is hugely impessive, she can sing in so many different styles also. She just blows me away each time i hear her.
And
Amy Lee - Evanescence She has an amazing voice, true she isn't great live but that's mostly because she is always running around, if you listen to her when she is sat at a piano she is amazing!

Floor Jansen - After Forever the range, the range, the range. her fantastic work on Ayreon's 01011001 album made me love and appriciate her voice even more.
Helena Michaelsen - Imperia/Angel as Floor, she has the range. yup. what i most love about her voice is her ability to express emotions. in the Angel song 'A Woman's Diary' (you know the 'love, hate, passion etc. part) she really shows that off, even if she sang the words in a language you wouldn't understand you would still clearly know what she's singing about.
